1. General
    These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between FLIP FLOP TOURS, INC. (hereinafter referred to as ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘FFT’), a corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with office address at 31 Gallares Street, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines, and yourself (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”), of legal age.
    Please make sure you have read and understood these terms and conditions before making your booking. You will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions when you make your online payment for your homestay accommodation.
  2. Deposit
    At the time of booking a 50% deposit will be required.
  3. Cancelation of Accomodation by Customer
    If you wish to cancel your trip you must notify us in writing via email at least one (1) days before your scheduled arrival. . No refund of your deposit will be given for cancellations.
  4. Change of Trip by Customer
    During your stay in the Philippines, we cannot facilitate any changes to your booking. If you wish to stay longer at your homestay, you have to notify the homestay owner and FFT, through SMS or email, the number of days of your extended stay. -We will immediately inform you if the homestay is still available for such extension. Otherwise, we can refer you to another homestay, subject to your agreement.
  5. Late bookings
    For bookings that are made within a week of arrival, please be informed that FFT reserves the right to cancel your booking due to short notice. We will do our best to inform you within twelve (12) hours from the time you made your booking whether it has been accepted by the homestay owner or not. In the event that the homestay you booked will not be available for your scheduled trip, we will reimburse you for your booking fee or offer you an alternative homestay. In most locations, we have back up homestay families available.
  6. Cancellation of Homestay by FFT
    FFT reserves the right to cancel a particular homestay at its absolute discretion. In such circumstance, we will give you notice as soon as possible, and try to offer an alternative house for you to stay in. We will refund the money paid by you for the booking. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking.
  7. Philippines homestay liability
    Philippines homestay is a platform to find reasonable accommodation from the families that we have visited so that they can also earn income from the exchange. In all of the homes on our register, we have enquired about security and health related issues, and we pass this information on to you at the time of your booking. Upon booking, you acknowledge that while FFT has done its best to cover any security, health or other issues that may arise during your stay at one of the houses, we are not liable for anything that happens to you on your travels, or during your stay. Likewise your homestay owner cannot accept any liability for anything that happens to you on your travels, or during your stay. We encourage you to get involved in optional activities at the homestay but you acknowledge that this does not make us, or the homestay owners, liable for these activities.
  8. Eviction from house
    If the homestay owner deems your behavior to be inappropriate, illegal according to the laws and regulations in the country you are travelling in, abusive, a threat to either yourself or others, including third parties, or you cause damage or loss to property of the homestay owner, then the homestay owner reserves the right to evict you from their house. You will be asked to leave immediately with all your belongings and from this point onwards you will be solely responsible for making your own travel arrangements. We will not be held liable for any expenses incurred by you.
    By accepting these terms and conditions, you also accept full responsibility for any damage, loss or expense caused by you or a person(s) you are traveling with, whether at the time of booking or added at a later date. Payment in full of such damage or expense is required immediately and is directly payable to your homestay owner.
  9. Travel insurance
    Travel insurance is compulsory for Philippines Homestay guests and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation. If for some reason travel insurance is neglected, the homestay owner, and/or FFT shall not be liable for any injury, death, or claims arising out of or in connection with the stay at the registered homestay owner’s house.
  10. Claims & complaints
    If you have a complaint about your homestay accommodation, please email the website and we will follow this up with the home owner. Any homestays receiving complaints are likely to be taken off our register immediately. If satisfaction is not reached through these means, then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of your stay.
