Rice Paddy Retreat in Loboc
Hi! I’m Filma, 38 years old with two children aged 6 and 9. They both go to the local school and I work in Tagbilaran for a cable television company. We live amidst rice paddies, but we are still close to the town of Loboc. Our house feels remote without being too far out of town. I also have two pigs for the family livelihood so I am quite busy taking care of the rice farming, pigs as well as my work in Tagbilaran. There is so much to do near our place in the Loboc area. “We are only 4 in our house (small for the Philippines) so we welcome anyone to come and stay in our spare room! “
Homestay Description
The setting of Filma’s house is the deal breaker for this homestay. Amidst rice paddies and away from any traffic you get a peaceful feeling as soon as you turn down Filmas road. The house is simple but you will want to spend most of your time outside watching people working in the rice paddies as well as exploring the Loboc area. The double room is clean and comfortable and the bathroom has a cold shower – a step up from some of the bucket shower houses on the register. This is a great place to be idle, relaxed and serene.Homestay Features
Location
Inland Bohol is just as beautiful as the coast, with a slightly different flavor to the beach scene. Just try it out! It is a short walk to Loboc town where you can buy food from the market or a few Filipino style restaurants. The location is great because of the proximity to tourist attractions of the area. BUT not many people stay in Loboc. The town is really quaint in the evenings and hanging around over the weekend to see the Loboc childrens choir is a must.
