Rice Paddy Retreat in Loboc

Homestay Description
The setting of Filma’s house is the deal breaker for this homestay. Amidst rice paddies and away from any traffic you get a peaceful feeling as soon as you turn down Filmas road. The house is simple but you will want to spend most of your time outside watching people working in the rice paddies as well as exploring the Loboc area. The double room is clean and comfortable and the bathroom has a cold shower – a step up from some of the bucket shower houses on the register. This is a great place to be idle, relaxed and serene.
Homestay Features

Double bed with a window looking out to Filma’s garden and the rice paddies. The room is small but there is a cupboard for your clothes so this would suit those wanting a slightly longer stay. Electric fan provided

The bathroom is small but with a faucet for the shower and a flush toilet.

Living Area

A simple living area with seats flows out to a outside seated area, great for cooling down and watching the activity in the rice paddies.

Loboc river, chocolate hills, tarsiers, waterfalls, the cruz dako, this area definitely has something for everyone.

Inland Bohol is just as beautiful as the coast, with a slightly different flavor to the beach scene. Just try it out! It is a short walk to Loboc town where you can buy food from the market or a few Filipino style restaurants. The location is great because of the proximity to tourist attractions of the area. BUT not many people stay in Loboc. The town is really quaint in the evenings and hanging around over the weekend to see the Loboc childrens choir is a must.

Comfort Level

This homestay is small and simple yet comfortable. The bedroom doesn’t have much room to move around in but it is a very clean house. The children and mum sleep in the room adjacent to the homestay bedroom.

Filma has prefect English and is very easy to communicate with. She will not always be around because of her commitments but will be able to help you when she’s there, or will only be a text message away.

Let Filma cook a special pork adobe – it’s one of her favourites.
Close to – Loboc River, ChocolateHills, Tarsier sanctuary, Bisay falls, Cruz Dako. How to get there – Catch a jeep from ICM terminal (about 10 minutes from the airport and port). The jeep will cost 27P and drop you in Loboc plaza where you can meet Filma.

Note: We do not provide the exact address of the homestay owner. We will give you further directions after your booking is made. You will also receive the cellphone number of the homestay owner and you will use this to communicate your arrival time to them and/or arrange pick up.
